Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She earned an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer. She is active in films theater and on television. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theatre. In later years, she was a part in television series along with independent and mainstream film. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She began her career as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career she is renowned for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
