Carey was almost 5'10 tall when she became a leading model. Her popularity among American designers Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren was extremely high. She is the daughter of the world-renowned geologist, who in 1979 was named Scientist of the Year from the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey is a resident of all over the world because of his work. In the years of her college, she began to model part-time and attracted the attention to Ford model Agency representatives in New York. She briefly spent time and studied in Paris prior to returning to New York. Her modeling and academic career rocketed and she appeared on Glamour's, Vogue's as well as many other covers of magazines. When she was modeling and continued to pursue her studies at a full-time level for a literary major in New York University. In New York she began to study acting. Her acting debut came through a tiny character in 'Club Pardise which aired in 1986 alongside Robin Williams. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing or windsurfing. She also enjoys climbing mountains and whitewater kayaking.
